CMC PRESENTATIONS

This is a method that consist of making presentations about our blog post. One person of the class has to present one or two posts to the rest of the class explaining their opinion, advantages, dsiadvantages and then, when the student finishes the presentation, the pupils ask her or his a question about the topic that has been treated and, to finish, they also has to evaluate the person.

On the one hand, I think that this is a very good method of learning, because this method makes that the class will be more entertaining and you will learn more than in a normal class, other advantage is the improvement of the capacities with the computer, becasuse this method do that the students use more and better their PC's.

But in the other hand, this method is very slow and the students have to use more time doing and improving their posts, and they will have less time to do homeworks or study.

TRANSPLANTE DE BRAZOS EN ESPAÑA

Un equipo de cirujanos españoles llevó a cabo con éxito el segundo trasplante de brazos de España y quinto en el mundo, a un paciente de 41 años que presentaba complicaciones tras haber sufrido graves quemaduras por una electrocución.
En la operación, que se desarrolló en el Hospital La Paz de Madrid durante doce horas, participaron más de veinte profesionales, debido a la dificultad que supone reemplazar el brazo por encima del codo.

Luis, el receptor de los órganos, casado y con dos hijos, sufrió la amputación de los dos brazos a la altura de la axila a causa de una grave quemadura eléctrica, que le causó además otras heridas graves en el abdomen y las piernas.
Luis, que tendrá que tomar medicamentos durante el resto de su vida para combatir el rechazo, fue elegido entre diez posibles candidatos a someterse a uno de los trasplantes más complicados.
En este momento no tiene funcionalidad y no puede moverse ya que las cicatrices en los brazos todavía están en proceso de curación, pero el jefe de Cirugía de La Paz, César Casado, prevé que dentro de un máximo de seis meses podrá “flexionar” los codos, y, en algo más de un año, usar las manos.
